He suspicious of her. And he knows how to brake down a lair. And he sure breaks her, alright. 😏😏😏😏 The Nickname he gives her thoo !!!! Ugh like butterflies yall! His nickname for her is - LITTLE TRAITOR - and he uses it so good and often 😊😊 It might be a slow burn, but the burn is so fricking good. He of course started to be so possessive of her since the beginning, he for sure didn't know why. But he wasn't stopping. He was teaching her how to train to be a warrior. He was touching and pushing her like she was his. When she wasn't. But this man was falling. Falling so hard. And that was killing him because even thought she was keeping lies. He couldn't stay away. I might not be talking about our princess because this man just took the whole story, He was there everywhere. And I was there for it. I wanted him in every moments with her. And this book sure delivered. Like the plot is amazing, the other characters as well but, He just stole everything. He was the roman empire. Especially mine. His dirty mouth, his gazing towards her. Ughhhh There is so much, the heated moments, the push and pull, the loose control, cave scenes, pining, wanting, and shortness of breath, the stolen glances!!! just everything was perfect. It fats paced, its not boring at all and it has that burning, that giddy feeling in your stomach when you don't know what's gonna happen and you just got to wait to find out. One of the best -Enemies to Lovers- book I have ever read. "So I saw this as a recommendation for an ACOTOR/ Fourth Wing hangover. While I didn’t have super high expectations, I was looking for a quick, spicy, easy read. For what it’s worth, that’s what this is. It moves right along, decent spice and really doesn’t dive too deep in to creating an alternate works. SPOILERS Here’s my problem: 1) The lead female (Nyra) is given next to no character development. She gets an opportunity to train and become the badass we all want her to be but because Dacre (male lead) is all obsessed with her and treats her horribly. And yet, every time they basically make eye contact she becomes this simpering, submissive idiot. Not mention, before, during and after every tryst they have he’s literally insulting her but she jUsT cAn’T hElP iT. 2) Dacre is just meh. He’s absolutely insufferable in this book. What made this book tedious at times is that he basically proclaims “hey you’re mine” and Nyra goes “no” then he’s everywhere and basically stalking her, cornering her, they turn up the spice, then he insults her and she’s left to feel empty. And this is the trope! Like, over and over and over! It’s so distracting and weird and gross that it constantly removed me from the flow of the book. I can’t even begin to talk about how it ends. Which I won’t spoil but but it ends with aforementioned trope. Also, I read the sequel thinking these characters would start getting some chemistry but as someone described it, “they’re in lust” If you like enemies to lovers, obsession-y, narcissistic male leads, this will be your jam. Pop off, girl. If you’re looking for an initially weak female lead to rise up, step in to her power and walk this earth with her partner as equals. Move on. She’s no Feyre or Violet. I don’t want to be her nor do I want to sleep with Dacre. ["
