About this book

You are mine now. Mine to play with. Mine to break. He is secrets, danger and passion. He is forbidden sin. And now he holds the key to destroy all I hold dear. The Dark Fae prince never told me his name. Not when he tried to seduce me, and not before he purposely botched one of my jobs and stole what was mine—a dangerous relic with unlimited power. It has the ability to break kingdoms… and tear down the wall that separates the human world from the dangerous, wyld magic of the fae. He knows that I will do anything to protect my family. Even follow him beyond the wall, into his lands. Mortals aren't allowed in the Obsidian Kingdom. Those who're caught are killed…or turned into captives. Playthings of the Dark King and his royal family. That's what the prince wants: to turn me into his toy. To play with. To break. But I'm not the kind of toy he's used to. I will play the games of lust and passion so that I can learn the rules. So that I can break them. And then I will take back what is mine and claim my revenge. Not all mortal women are delicate flowers—some have thorns.

Daisy and Tarian's dark romance begins

"The Demigods of San Francisco is one of my absolute favourite series so I was super excited to see Daisy get her own story told. Obsidian was a fabulous read. With Daisy continuing her training and work with Zorn by carrying out dirty deeds, the story was dark and gritty with fabulous world building. You don't have to have read the Demigods books but it will certainly help you get an understanding of the characters and the magical and non-magical worlds they're set in (and they're fantastic so I'd highly recommend you start from the beginning to do them justice). It's also worth noting that Tarian, the devilishly delicious Fae that's the male lead in this series, pops up for the first time in Book 6, giving you a bit more background to his and Daisy's dynamic. In the human realm, more Fae seem to be crossing over. Not to be trusted, they're sneaking in or making deals with the human world and someone is leaving dead bodies in their wake. When Daisy and Zorn go to look for a chalice, Daisy is drawn into the nefarious plot of the dark Fae she remembers from her youth. Events spiral out of her control and after being taking prisoner, Daisy is taken on the perilous journey to the Obsidian Kingdom of the Fae. The chemistry and banter between Daisy and Tarian was brilliant, especially with this author's customary sarcasm, strong, capable female lead and powerful, dominant and manipulative male love interest. This definitely isn't your conventional love story - both are happy to sacrifice the other, painfully if possible, in order to achieve their own goals. Daisy continued to be a wonderful and she really shone in her own book, doing justice to both her character in the previous series as well as her overall story arc that had her develop into a fabulously dangerous weapon that was tough, clever and strategic. The story is a two-parter so don't expect everything to wrap up in Obsidian. It's was a terrific read with a perfect blend of slow-burn tension, violence and great world building. It left me wanting more and it'll be going in my Favourites folder. And how gorgeous is the cover! Love all around. ["

Wow what a awesome read can hardly wait for the next book 4 1/2 STARS!! (Warning spoilers)

"I will start by saying I really love K.F. Breene and really loved reading the "Demigods of San Francisco" serious and loved all the characters in that series! When I found out K.F. Breene was writing a spin-off about Daisy I could hardly wait. I thought It will be great to see how the other characters are doing while enjoying whatever adventures and craziness Daisy's character would take me on. This book was definitely a fun read the first part seemed slow moving but once Daisy and Tarian started fighting together I was hooked and couldn't put it down!! I loved seeing Daisy really use all her training and show this Fae abductor she is just as lethal maybe more so with better training then any human magical or not and most Fae they build a friendship a respect for each other as they fight to stay alive and keep each other alive. It is fun seeing Daisy crazy come out I love her sharp wit and his sense of humor. It's fun to see how Daisy responds to having Tarian hear every thought she has, and when the wylds start talking to her as she helps Tarian stay alive. The book was even better than I thought it would be and I thought it would be great! You do get to catch up with everyone in the first part of the book, but it didn't feel like the same group it almost felt like the chemistry between everyone was off somehow. I really loved Daisy relationship With Lexi and Mordi they were her family and it was the three of them against the world. Until eventually their small group became not just her family but a family to each other. I felt that closeness that came through in Demigods of San Francisco series wasn't there in the same way. I wanted to know what happened to them after Daisy was kidnapped from the car. It sounded like the car was wrecked badly by the group of swamp Fae. Were they badly injured or something because If Daisy was still in human lands for so long and hadn't crossed the Far gate to the wylds couldn't Lexi have found her body through spirit like when she was kidnapped the last time and then wouldn't two powerful demigods and ten level 5 with blood offerings and 1 level 5 lunatic with all different types of magic at least try rescuing her especially before she crossed the Fae gate especially with the information on what Tarian wanted to do and what he already did? I really really hope that gets explained in the next book because that part makes no sense because I can imagine everyone in that group going to extreme measures immediately especially if Daisys life was in danger. Something I hope is different in the next book is the whole book is from Daisy POV not once do you actually know what Tarian really thinks or anything he is really feeling. At the very end when he explained his plan for Daisy, and her his story I wanted to hear at least that from his POV. I do not like that Daisy asked Tarian to sleep with her or to let her service him especially after what he did with his Fallen he made it seem like he was handling her over for them to enjoy her. I wish she would have punched him in the dick not begged him to sleep with her and I wish it was in his POV! Lol I rated this 4 1/2 stars they would not let me put half a star so I am doing it here. It is an amazing first book the stuff I had issues with were more like background noise and didn't take away from my enjoyment of the whole and my enjoyment of Daisy who is an amazing character and Daisy and Tarians chemistry together through the entire book I am holding out hope that in the next book some is from Tarian POV and that the family stuff makes more sense and answers my questions.
