The pacing is fast, harrowing, and utterly addictive, with heart-pounding action and revelations that unfold like a dreaded, but irresistible trail of breadcrumbs. KF Breene once again proves she’s a master storyteller. Her world-building is immersive, but it’s the stunning character development and wickedly perfect banter that truly shine. The banter arrives at just the right moment to let the reader breathe before plunging back into the chaos. The romance swept me away. The sexual tension simmers, the slow burn torments. It's absolutely delicious. I truly loved the evolution of Tarian and Daisy’s relationship: no miscommunication, no unnecessary misunderstandings. Tarian’s protectiveness remains absolute , unwavering, and perfectly unhinged. Daisy steps fully into her own strength , becoming just as fiercely protective of him. They become true partners in every sense of the word, sharing strength, trust, and understanding. Each willing to sacrifice for the other. The emotional depth of this book wrecked me in the best way. My heart raced, my soul ached, and the love and devotion between the characters wrapped me in beautiful bliss. There were tears and a few moments when I had to set my Kindle down to catch my breath. This story warmed my heart, broke it, and then pieced it back together again. This book will haunt me in the best way. And I am completely okay with that. Five stars feels criminally insufficient. "This was a satisfying conclusion to this duet. I liked that this story wasn’t stretched or dragged out. Some authors would have milked this into three or more books. Not Breene. And I get this is the end of Daisy’s story, but I’d have loved more in this world with her. We spent most of these two books in the Fae world. Still, this was twisty, suspenseful, and when the heat happened it was scorching. Audio was also fantastic and would recommend. ["

"This is the final book in Daisy’s duet, and it was such a satisfying conclusion to her story. Daisy and Tarian finally make it to the kingdom, where Daisy gets her first real look at the royal and noble families - and learns just how much Tarian has suffered at their hands. True to form, Daisy brings her fiery, badahh energy into the games as Tarian’s champion and completely wrecks shop. She is absolutely hilarious and true to herself. The romance really takes off in this book. The slow burn and tension are gone, replaced with real momentum and deepening connection between Daisy and Tarian. I was honestly nervous going in, worried about what Tarian might have to do to play his role, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were no unnecessary, heart-crushing moments of him pushing Daisy away or acting like a complete jerk, which I appreciated so much. I also loved getting POVs from Lexi, Kieran, and their crew. We knew they’d come for Daisy, and they did not disappoint—fierce, entertaining, and a great addition to this story. The ending was hard, unexpected, and absolutely worth it. This book was packed with emotion, action, and nonstop entertainment from start to finish. A fantastic and well-earned ending to Daisy’s story. I loved every bit of it. ["
