About this book

A beautiful, limited edition hardcover box set of the 4-volume New York Times bestselling series! (One printing only!) These blockbuster danmei/Boys' Love novels from China follow the hilarious story of a man reborn as a fantasy novel villain who ends up romancing the male protagonist. Half-demon Luo Binghe rose from humble beginnings and a tortured past to become unrivaled in strength and beauty. With his dominion over both the Human and Demon Realms and his hundreds-strong harem, he is truly the most powerful protagonist...in a trashy webnovel series! At least, that's what Shen Yuan believes as he finishes reading the final chapter in Proud Immortal Demon Way. But when a bout of rage leads to his sudden death, Shen Yuan is reborn into the world of the novel in the body of Shen Qingqiu--the beautiful but cruel teacher of a young Luo Binghe. While Shen Qingqiu may have the incredible power of a cultivator, he is destined to be horrifically punished for crimes against the protagonist. The new Shen Qingqiu now has only one course of action: get into Luo Binghe's good graces before the young man's rise to power or suffer the awful fate of a true scum villain! This Chinese fantasy (xianxia) comedy built around the romanticized love between two men (danmei) has been translated into numerous languages and inspired the animated series Scumbag System, which amassed millions of streaming views. This deluxe hardcover rerelease of Seven Seas' bestselling English-language paperbacks features special embellishments: all volumes feature dust jackets with all-new art and foil, new foil illustrations against the hardcovers themselves, elaborate printed edges, and ribbon bookmarks, with the four books encased in a beautifully illustrated slipcase alongside a mini artbook for the series and two all-new mini posters. (Each box set in this limited edition printing is numbered.) Featuring art from Xiao Tong Kong (Velinxi) and special guest artists.

Phenomenal

"If you love SVSSS, you will ADORE this set. Beautiful illustrations, the artbook comes with both illustrations for the paperback versions and this set. The box has it's own art which is phenomenal. Great quality. I'd highly recommend if you'd like the hardcover versions over the paperbacks. ["

Decent price for what you get, the art is very lovely

"Mathing out the price, it's like 35usd per Hardback, which is pretty comparable to getting the individual Hardbacks for the other MXTX works when they first release as well, plus some additional goodies. I got mine on release day with no issues or damage to the box or books within. Everything was in order, I haven't seen any product defects with anything or discoloration on the edges. I am knocking off a star only due to one of the side goodies we get with this specific edition. The side goodies overall were rather nice, a little artbook with all the guest art, the og Paperback covers, the new Hardback covers, and some concept art from Velinxi, plus two posters were nice. The only downside was the Relationship Chart and Map, with the relationship chart being a fun idea but kind of meh in execution and the Map having enough inconsistencies that I do question if the person they had make it even read the series at all. Which is why I'm deducting the star, as those two were pretty much the only major mark against the box set I had (I am aware it's a pretty petty thing to knock a star off for). As much as I would have loved if the box set included some of the new Short Stories MXTX released with the new Simplified Chinese rewrite she did, I can kind of understand why it wasn't included. ["
