Mistakenly Saving the Villain (Novel) Vol. 1 (Special Edition)
Feng Yu Nie
by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu
The final chapter of an epic journey arrives at the rain-lashed Guanyin Temple, where decades of intricate schemes and buried secrets collide. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji stand united against the shadows of the past, facing a desperate three-way confrontation that threatens to reshape the entire cultivation world. As the truth behind Jin Guangyao’s machinations is finally laid bare, the stakes transcend political power, forcing the protagonists to fight for the survival of a bond that has transcended death itself.
This concluding volume resolves the high-stakes tension of the main narrative, cementing a love story two lifetimes in the making. Beyond the climactic showdown, the collection offers an intimate look at the characters' lives in the aftermath of war. Eight poignant short stories explore the quiet, domestic reality of the protagonists, ranging from playful nights spent hunting lotus pods to the complexities of mentoring the next generation during perilous Night Hunts.
Whether through tense social banquets or the lingering magic of ancient incense burners, these tales provide a lingering, heartfelt farewell to a world where even the most demonic reputations can be redeemed by steadfast devotion.

"You could probably consider this a spoiler, but I just gotta complain. I was really hoping/expecting that they would adopt a child. Wei Ying fantasized about traveling with Lan Zhan and a “little one”. He has all those domestic dreams. Surely they would find some orphan during their travels that “called out to them” (metaphorically speaking) as their future child. Right? Well, apparently not. *sigh* It’s not that I (emphasis on I) want them to have a kid, it’s that WEI YING wanted a kid. THAT’S the rub. And pranks aside, he’d make a great father. He’s the best teacher at the Cloud Recesses. He’s got so much to offer “kiddos”. It’s such a shame that he doesn’t have his own. I’m a little disappointed that none of the stories address what happened with Lan Zhan’s parents. I feel like that’s a loose thread. This story could stand to have a spin-off focused on the teenagers that stood by Wei Ying because he was good to them, even after they found out who he was. It would be an opportunity to see if Wei Ying ever managed to repair his relationship with Jiang Cheng. And hopefully Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen have managed to find women to carry on the family by that point. Unfortunately, unless there’s another danmei-worthy love interest I doubt I’ll get my wish. *huge sigh* All that being said, I greatly enjoyed this series. I liked the characters and felt that this was the most believable example of “gay for you” that I’ve ever seen. Sure, Wei Ying flirts with girls; he’s charming. But he’d never attempted anything more. He could have charmed most girls into at least a kiss, but he never even tried. Yet, one look at Lan Zhan and he had to be restrained from going over to talk. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself. And he was constantly thinking/talking about him, even when he wasn’t around. It’s not actually surprising that he fell for Lan Zhan once he started pretending to be a cut sleeve and thus acknowledged the possibility that he could be attracted to another man. I really enjoyed Heaven Official’s Blessings, but I think this is my favorite of this author’s three stories. (Now if they just had a kid…) ["

"I almost got the regular version of this book, but luckily I saw this one and purchased it the week before the release and I'm so glad I did. I got extras of high quality large post cards, 2 posters, 1 journal, and a book mark. This was well worth the price I paid, Trust me spend a few more dollars and get the free gifts. It's bitter sweet that this is the last installment, but I saw that the comic version is coming out so I purchased the first book already. I'm obsessed I need to get everything MDZS!! I watched both the live version and the donghua and impressed by both. I've already read the fans translations online so one day I'll read the official version. ["
