"The setup for this story is perfectly straightforward: Delphie chokes on a burger, dies, and meets an incredibly handsome stranger in the Afterlife who seems to fall for her at first glance. Unfortunately, his death is a mistake and he's whisked back to Earth. If Delphie can find him and get him to kiss her in ten days, she can have the life of her dreams. Simple, right? Sure, if they were two castaways on a desert island. Not so easy in a metropolis of millions. There are so many things I enjoyed about this book. It's set in London, it's humorous, and it's hard to beat British humor. The opening death scene is hilarious, complete with a practical rundown of all the embarrassing details surrounding her last moments-no dignity here, please. The fact that there are two (not just one) dreamy men involved. The wonderful transformation of Delphie, who does (somehow) manage to find the magic in her life. And the many mentions and plugs for romance stories (because who doesn't love a good romance). The cast of characters is delightful and often unique. I love that Delphie is not a "strong" female but a lonely person who leads a quiet life, and yet she's likeable and relatable and so much fun to read about. Get ready for a heartwarming tale that will have you feeling all the feels and cheering for everyone along the way. ["

"3.5 I had a bit of trouble getting into this one at first. This was an audio book for me and the narrator has a thick British accent, which I love, but if I broke attention at all I would completely lose what she was saying. Also, there were many cringe worthy moments throughout this story that I realize were intended to be funny but just had me grimacing. However, as the story progressed and I found my focus so I could follow the dialogue, the story was actually very sweet. The main character was very relatable and gave off a Bridget Jones vibe. And the growth throughout the story was very strong. The same could be said for the MMC as well. Ultimately, this is a story about overcoming fear, stepping outside of your comfort zone and the importance of building a community. Add in a little supernatural element, humor and romance, and this was like the British version of an Ashley Poston novel! Very cute story! ["
