About this book

Saphira’s dream of running a cozy café for baby dragons is quickly turning into an expensive disaster. While she adores her tiny, scaly patrons, their penchant for accidentally incinerating her furniture is rapidly depleting her bank account. She needs a miracle to keep her doors open, and it arrives in the form of Aiden, a local gardener whose own unruly dragon is causing chaos among his prized plants.

Aiden proposes a desperate bargain: he will pay Saphira to train his dragon, providing the steady income her café desperately needs. It seems like the perfect solution, but the partnership is complicated by their polar-opposite personalities. Saphira is bright, optimistic, and happy-go-lucky, while Aiden is as guarded and grumpy as they come.

Despite their differences, the proximity of their arrangement forces them to navigate more than just dragon training. As they work together to tame their fiery companions, the line between business and personal begins to blur. In a charming, small-town setting, Saphira and Aiden must discover if they can move past their initial friction to build a home—and a future—that is as warm and inviting as a fresh cup of coffee.

Dragons, whimsical, adorable chaos, charming!

"“No dream was too big. In a world where dragons flew through the air, nothing was too far out of reach.” I kept seeing this book everywhere and finally picked it up—and I’m so glad I did! This story is cozy, cute, and absolutely hilarious with just the right amount of sweetness. Sparky the baby draggo completely stole my heart, and the café setting is whimsical yet somehow totally relatable (I wish I had one nearby!). “Sparky was a basalta dragon, a bigger breed, which meant Sparky was one of the bigger baby dragons, too. He had black scales and purple eyes.” Dragons, whimsical, adorable chaos, charming! What really stood out to me was how much this book captured that charming, small-town feel. The residents are quirky in the best way, the café feels like the heart of the community, and there’s this sense that everyone is connected. And don’t even get me started on the food—I was practically drooling over the dragon-roasted coffee (and I’m not even coffee drink *gasp*)! “It was the kind of cafe you went to for lattes on a first date, or to meet up with old friends over a pot of chai, or to read a book by the fire while sipping on a mug of hot chocolate with extra mini marshmallows... A place where people connected—where you felt at home. Where you felt the very opposite of lonely". The chemistry between Aiden and Saphira is delightful—full of funny moments, warmth, and those swoony, fuzzy feels. Their meet-cute, absolutely hilarious and much needed after their kind of day. Plus, the little touch of diversity made the story even more special. If you’re in your cozy romantasy era and want a read that feels like a warm hug (with dragons!), this one’s should be your next read! “It feels like everything leading up to meeting you was just the prologue to my life; after meeting you, the real story began. Like my real life started the day I met you. Which is all to say—I love you. Deeply, passionately, madly, I love you.” Rating: 4.5/5 Spice: 1/5 ["

Such a Cute & Cozy Feel Good Read

"This was my very first cozy Romantasy and I loved it! The only thing I wished was that we got to see the engagement bit. That would’ve been so nice. Cute baby dragons, a cozy cafe, a bubbly sunshine FMC and an introverted and shy MMC… check, check and check! The characters were relatable and loveable. I loved how the story touched on personal insecurities of feeling not good enough or overthinking everything. I think it’s something we all struggle with and it was nice being able to connect with the story on that note. I so badly want to live in this story! Dragons and a cafe …. Sign me up! ["

Comfort read, not a page-turner

"This is a cozy, low-stakes fantasy focused on comfort, found family, and caring for baby dragons rather than action or high drama. I enjoyed the cozy vibe and found it to be a nice break from darker fantasy, but the story felt very simple. I never fully connected with the characters or the world, and because of that it took me a long time to finish. I liked it enough to keep picking it up, just never felt especially pulled in. Overall, it’s a pleasant and comforting read that will appeal to fans of cozy fantasy, even if it felt a bit flat for me personally. TL;DR: Cute, cozy, and low stress — but very simple and not especially immersive. ["
