"This is a cozy, low-stakes fantasy focused on comfort, found family, and caring for baby dragons rather than action or high drama. I enjoyed the cozy vibe and found it to be a nice break from darker fantasy, but the story felt very simple. I never fully connected with the characters or the world, and because of that it took me a long time to finish. I liked it enough to keep picking it up, just never felt especially pulled in.
