Fury Bound (The Wolves of Ruin Book 2)
Sable Sorensen
by Maggie Sunseri
In the heart of a city fractured by warring vampire clans, Scarlett finds herself trapped in a volatile nightmare. Once scorned for her forbidden nature and powers of seduction, she is now held captive by Rune, a man whose cruel touch and haunting presence ignite a dangerous, addictive frenzy. Scarlett’s blood acts as a catalyst for obsession, but beneath her torment, a dormant, vengeful wrath begins to stir.
She is no longer just a victim; she is becoming a weapon forged from sin, ready to turn the tables on those who seek to control her. Rune, bound by the crushing weight of duty and clan loyalty, struggles to maintain order as Valentin teeters on the brink of absolute annihilation. Though he has watched Scarlett from the shadows for a lifetime, the distance between them has become an agonizing void, leaving him famished for the woman he claims as his own.
As the city descends into chaos, the tension between captor and captive reaches a breaking point. With the stakes rising and their fates irrevocably intertwined, they must navigate a landscape of lethal desire and dark obsession where the only way to survive is to surrender to the darkness.

"This series does contain a Ds dynamic, however I will say (as part of the community) the actual kink is not particularly dark. HOWEVER, the abuse of kink and kink as abuse, trying not to spoil anything (not MCs), is plentiful and heavy. IF you have sexual, or mental abuse, trauma I would highly recommend speaking to someone whose read this first, as even the trigger warnings weren't adequate (no fault on the author, there's just no TWs specific enough for the depravity of the villains). There's beautiful representation of found family and their love, platonic love, healthy romantic love (minus the initial meet cute and how he reacts to a plot twist - I will never forgive that... but we love him anyway. Good grovel anyone?!) MMC is 100% touch her and you will die, and acts on it, while explicity respecting her feelings about her own agency MOSTLY. MMC openly refers to himself as FMC's "God" so much, gave me the ick, but wasn't so much you can't push through. And if, like me, you get irritated with the repetitive use of things like "dark god not of this realm" "our love is written in the stars" "our souls" talk, just know it does eventually get spaced out more. The plot is GOOD, All of the love (especially the platonic and self love!) immaculate, the Ds dynamic is represented so well in both the healthy and unhealthy examples (I have NEVER seen it represented so well for an in and out of bedroom dynamic and you should know how much reverence I have - and you should, too - for Miss Maggie over just this alone), the espionage and characters, and let me be so clear THE STRONG BADASS WOMEN. And Romance.io is spot on for the spice levels 😏 Read the book. ["

TPAmazing Story!
"It was a great sequel to one of the best books I've read this year. It wasn't as good as the first book (mostly due to the long torture scenes), however the story ended nicely and I adore their love story! Scarlett is a favorite FMC of mine... her resilience and power is so beautiful and unique! I will say be cautious if you don't like torture because the FMC goes through a very hard time for the first half of the book. I would have preferred if this was shortened or sometimes not so drawn out because it's graphic and not pleasant to read about. That's the only reason why I gave it 4 stars! Otherwise, great story and I will be reading this author's other books. ["

Kaitlin SpillerGreat Conclusion!
"Overall: 4.75/5 Plot: 4.75/5 Spice Level: 3/5 Recommended: Yes This was such a great conclusion to the Eternal Obsession duet! I absolutely loved the first book, and since that ended on a cliffhanger I had no choice but to jump straight into this one. A lot of other reviews felt there was too much time spent on the impending war and political subplot, but I thoroughly enjoyed all of the planning and scheming! Watching Scarlett grow from being at her lowest to being a total badass was perfect. It was believable because she still carried the scars from her trauma. The way Rune groveled and cared for her upon her return was great. Both main characters were really fun to read once again. I also loved the side characters. I'd probably sell a kidney to have a Snow/Uriah story...even just a novella? Please? Sadie and Rosalind were excellent as well. I found myself truly caring about what happened to everyone. I will definitely say this duet mirrors the Cat and Mouse duet in a way with the first book being more stalker based and the second being full of trauma and survival. I was surprised with how much I loved this duet. It didn't feel like each book was 500+ pages. I want so badly to jump into the second duet in this world, but I don't know if my heart can handle waiting for the second book to come out later this year. Overall, if you want Haunting/Hunting Adeline vibes with vampires and magick, this is the duet for you! ["

Mom days are great daysDark and Suspenseful Story
"So I gave this story a 3 because I found this book had more elements of a suspense adventure story than a romance - at least more than the first book. For much of the first part, the main characters were apart. For me, I don’t like romance novels with the main couple separated for large portions. I totally understand why that was needed and required, but that is why I view this as more of an adventure/drama book than romance. There was still lots of romance and passion in the book, but the story seemed to be more about self discovery, sacrifice, and trauma recovery. I enjoyed seeing the characters learn and grow and heal - separate and together. I also loved the strong element of “found family.” The thriller or more dramatic plot was intense as well. PLEASE read the trigger warnings as this book is intense and has extreme elements in it. Things worked out to a HEA in the end, but it was a hard road to get there. ["
