To break it, I need Death, On his knees, A ring on his finger. My blade at his throat. The god fights me to the grave, Evades my touch, Mocks my wanting. He would rather tear himself apart, Than let me close enough to end this. But I didn't come this far to lose. I came to crown him mine. Welcome to your wedding, my love. Crown Me Yours is a dark fantasy romance novel, and book two in the Heartstring Duet. The two-part story features deception, mystery, more deception, a handsome liar, and the woman who wants to bury him, along with a HUDDTPMYL... Happily Until Death Does Them Part Many Years Later (yes, the author made that up). This world contains dark elements, violence, and themes some may find disturbing. "This duet completely wrecked me in the best way. Beneath the fantasy, the rot, and the curse, this story is really about grief, love, and what people are willing to sacrifice for the ones they can’t bear to lose. Every moment feels heavier because you know nothing is guaranteed, and the book leans into that beautifully instead of trying to soften it. The kingdom itself is dying. Rot has spread through everything, from the people to the forests, all because of a curse born from Death’s own heartbreak. Elara becomes Crown Queen with the hope of ending it, driven especially by the fact that her younger brother and mother are both slowly dying from the disease. She’s stubborn, determined, and willing to do whatever it takes to save them. I absolutely loved watching the relationship between Vale and Elara evolve. Their dynamic starts with this sharp love-hate tension that made every interaction feel charged, but what made it so special was how naturally it transformed into something deeper. Watching hate soften into trust, and eventually into a love that felt eternal, was genuinely beautiful. And when Elara wants to “explore” him? The writing takes you there so intimately, not just physically but emotionally too, lingering in those quiet moments in a way that felt tender and vulnerable rather than rushed. Despite the heavier themes, the banter between them keeps the story from ever feeling too bleak. Their relationship felt stripped back and honest, built on loving each other exactly as they are. And yes… the “my wife” moments absolutely got me. But what stayed with me most was the ending. The conversations around life, death, and love were achingly beautiful. Watching Death’s perspective shift, seeing him understand that grief is not proof that love failed but proof that it mattered, hit me hard. The story doesn’t shy away from the truth that love and loss are forever tied together, and somehow still leaves you believing the pain is worth it. The writing is immersive without feeling overdone, and somehow balances heartbreak, tension, romance, and a gripping plot all at once. Book one pulled me in, but book two completely shattered me. There’s no filler here. Every scene feels important. This is one of those stories that lingers long after you finish it. Beautiful, painful, romantic, and honestly unforgettable. ["

Amber RGoing to have major book hangover!
"I'm not sure how I will ever recover from this duology! Wow- definitely my top read of the year. This duology had all the emotions and the pure feeling of devastation while reading the second book was unreal. This book picks up right where the first one leaves off. BUT... amazing surprise- dual POV!! We get Vales pov and I loved it!! There wasn't as much gore in the second book as the first, it was def more romance heavy! 🥰 Kael had just been buried and Elara is queen. Her brother and mom are still sick and we found out Vale is death. This book continues with Elara trying to break the curse and save her family. But it also shifts to the relationship between death and Elara. It's about healing from the past, trusting to love again, and knowing there will always be heartbreak but that's what comes with love. I will tell you... when you see reviews of people sobbing while reading this book.... BELIEVE IT... I sobbed reading this book! The emotion was so overwhelming. Liv Zander knocked this one out of the park! OMG- amazing book! Infinity ⭐️s ["
