Broken Bonds: The Bonds That Tie, Book 1
J Bree
The gods live among us. I thought that the death of the man who tortured me, broke me, and then hunted me to the ends of the Earth would be the end of our fight; but it’s only the beginning. After thousands of years of being apart, our god bonds are reunited once again; and they’re not ready to go down without a fight. They’ve woken up hungry. All of the research in the world couldn’t have prepared us for what’s to come, enemies and wars fought over millennia. Now we’re being forced to act, but this time, we have the advantage. This time, we’re Bonded. Are we strong enough to survive the gods and their plans? Will we ever live in the peaceful world we’ve fought so hard for, or is history doomed to repeat itself?

"This series has had it’s claws in me from the very beginning and now that it’s over, I don’t quite know what to do with myself. I had been anxiously awaiting this last book and even though the release was pushed back a month, it was totally worth the wait. These characters had already been through so much before we got to this book, but as it turns out they still had so much more to go through because now, the real war has begun. Every moment of this book held my attention from that first line to the very end. Seriously, I downloaded the book and saw the first line and started cussing because I had to go to work instead of being able to start reading. There was so much action and even though this was the last book there was still a lot to learn. And the spice…oh boy the spice is just 🥵🥵🥵, including a few scenes that I have been wanting for awhile (and I know for a fact that I wasn’t only one). I don’t want to say to much because I really don’t want to spoil anything…and there’s a lot that can be spoiled! So I’m just going to wrap it up by saying that I got answers to questions that I’ve been waiting for, and some that I didn’t even know I had. This entire series has been a journey. And while I have loved the story and plot lines along the way, my favorite part has been the characters and the incredible growth that we’ve seen from all of them. It’s no secret that I could not stand Nox at the beginning of this series, but now he’s tied with North for my second favorite guy. (Gryphon has been my favorite since book 2, and he we will forever hold that spot.) Seriously though, Nox had the most and best character growth through this entire series. And it’s not just the individual character growth that I loved, but also their growth together. The group as a whole has been slowly becoming closer and closer, with a few notable exceptions. But in this book we finally get to see them being a complete unit and not have as much antagonism between Nox and Atlas. Seeing them really work together and get along just made my little heart so happy. This is going to be my favorite series that I’ve read this year and will probably be one of, if not my number 1, absolute favorite series ever. And this book just solidified that for me because it just brought everything together and to an ending that I loved. (I do hope that we get some type of a bonus later down the road where we get to see them further in the future.) The last book in a series is always little bittersweet because while you’re excited for the characters to get their HEA, you’re also sad to say goodbye to them. Luckily you can always revisit with rereads and audiobooks, which I already know I will be listening to multiple times a year. ["

"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘛𝘪𝘦 series by @jbree ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Oli is a central bond who has been on the run for the past 5 years, ever since her parents died. When she is finally found and “returned” to her bonds, it becomes clear they aren’t her biggest fans since she ran from them…some even hate her. What they don’t understand is that she ran to keep them safe. Now she’s back and has to figure out how to save the world…again. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Holy. Cannoli. Okay. When book one was originally released, I downloaded it, read the first page and said “nope.” Now I’m kicking myself because this series is so fricken good!!! When I say I devoured the first four books in about two days, I’m not even exaggerating. J Bree is a master at writing slow burns that I just want to keep reading. The premise for the series is so creative, too. Every book had its own strengths and focus. Every cliffhanger absolutely slayed me (book 4, I’m looking at you most of all). And then the ending of the while series had me breathing a sigh of relief. I love this series. To me, this is a true new adult RH series. I have convinced people to read this series, and getting their updates honestly gives me life. I legitimately love every single one of the bonds (some took longer than others to get there) and don’t have a clear favorite most days. Atlas? Gryphon? Gabe? North? Nox? Let’s be real…shadow puppy for the win. 😂 The way this series sucked me in immediately is crazy. And for it to be a story that was in the back of my mind the entire year?? NUTS! I am so jealous of everybody that gets to read it for the first time uninterrupted. PLEASE send me all of your thoughts so I can live vicariously through you! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: This series is right up there with some of my other favorite series. If you’ve been wanting to try PNR, this is a great choice because it’s not too crazy bananas out there. Also…it’s J Bree. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• #thebondsthattie #jbree #romancebooks #spicybooks #bookstagram #reader #teacherswhoread #bookreviews #romance #happilyeverafter #review #romancereader #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booklover #bookaddict #readingtime #selfcare #kindleunlimited ["
