Exceeded my expectations!

"This sequel exceeded my expectations. The story picked up in the aftermath of Book 1's ending, with the characters emotional toll of the events hitting them all hard and in different ways. Rhya once again showed her strength in many different ways as she survives and learns to thrive with her powers. Soren is 100% my favorite. I knew it in The Wind Weaver and that did not change. The sarcasm and banter between him and Rhya are A+, LOVED it. This story introduced a whole new group of side characters and found family that had me smiling and stressing simultaneously. So many emotions for me while I read this. The slow burn romance story continues with the build up 🔥. Now, that ending. I am definitely in book hangover territory. I teared up quite a bit through this story, even lost my breath for a second (you will know exactly when I'm talking about as you read this one), and nothing prepared me for that ending. I can't tell you how much I am ready for the last book. Like, need it now. Please. ["

"I am obsessed and in love with this series. The story is so unique and I feel like I have a hangover after finishing this book. It only took me 3 days!! The character development is so great and the main character still feels like the same person, just a better version of herself. I love the fact that the language that the characters use is consistent without any newer slang that sometimes forces me out of whatever fantasy world I am reading. The descriptions of the scenes are so clear and it have a good balance of both worlds building and dialogue. I am going to be suffering until the release of the third book 😭😭😭 ["

"4.5 ⭐️ The Sea Spinner is book 2 in a series and it hit just right for me. I enjoyed it a bit more than book 1 as someone that craves character growth and The Sea Spinner delivers with growth for Rhya. Rhya is challenged in many ways mentally, physically, and magically. She struggles with carrying burdens that are not hers to carry and grief. She is afraid of her powers. This book made her feel... real. She does not fully understand her power, her potential, or even her own feelings, honestly. Rhya rises to challenges and is brave. She begins to learn control of her power and to release her fear of it. Her character development is one of my two favorite things in the book. My other favorite thing? Freaking Soren. That beautiful, powerful, loyal, clever and wise man with his mysteries and amazingness (that's the best I have... words fail me here a bit). I will say that the way that the dynamic between Rhya and Soren makes my heart sing. “If you are fool enough to let treasure slip through your fingers, you cannot blame another for picking it up, brushing it off, and making it shine again.” And then there's Penn. A great man is encapsulated by a man that is scared... and scarred... and it shows in his actions and his words. He believes emotions are a liability. I hope we get to see him grow in book 3. My least favorite thing is the ending... it was cruel. Stare at a wall asking yourself WTF kind of cruel. Julie knows what she did to all of us. She promises the next book will soothe the ache... in the meantime, I think she's the mean kid with the magnifying glass burning all of us ants... I loved the expanding world with the Water Court which added depth and complexity. I really enjoyed how Soren rules his kingdom. So now we have a better understanding of the fire and water courts. I look forward to seeing how the characters we know build into the book 3. ["

"The Sea Spinner is a thrilling addition to the Wind Weaver series. In The Sea Spinner after an impassioned argument with Penn she ends up in Sorens Domain. There she meets new friends, allies, and has a budding romance with Soren, the remnant of water. The character development for Rhya was really front and center here. I loved getting to see her and soren train together. The chemistry was off the charts. Soren also becomes a more well rounded character in this installment where for the first time we see real vulnerability. I will say despite how good this book is, it ends on a devastating cliff hanger that I was not prepared for. If you liked Wind Weaver be prepared to thoroughly enjoy every moment of The Sea Spinner. ["
