About this book

Lore has lost everything: her city, her allies, and the man she loves. With King Bastian now a vessel for a ruthless, rot-corrupted god, the balance of power has shifted into the hands of an ancient, malevolent force. Banished to the desolate Burnt Isles, Lore is stripped of her status and forced to rely on the brutal instincts that once kept her alive on the streets of Dellaire.

Survival is only the first step. To dismantle the divinity threatening to consume the continent, Lore must orchestrate a desperate plan to reunite the shattered fragments of the Fount, the primordial source of all magic. As she navigates a landscape of exile and betrayal, she must coordinate with her scattered companions across vast distances, weaving their fates back together to strike at the heart of the corruption.

Yet, as the Fount’s power begins to surge within her, Lore faces a terrifying internal conflict. She has spent her life fighting for scraps, but with the god’s strength now at her fingertips, she must decide if she is willing to sacrifice that newfound power to save a world that has never been kind to her. The final reckoning for the crown and the gods has arrived.

One of my favorite series

"I loved this series. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. I wish the ending would have been...more? But I still really enjoyed it. ["

Perfect and Heartbreaking

"I would love to give this book five stars. It's conclusion was perfect. I know there are some reviews that say some character's arcs did not get finished, but our MCs did, in a way even if it was heartbreaking. Other than that the plot was strong. SPOILERS!! Each one of the three MCs had their story finished in a way that fit the plot. Gabe's was tragic, seemed unfair and unnecessary but as Lore said, it was needed for her to be free from Apollyius and Gabe was always willing to sacrifice whatever he needed to for Lore and Bastian and he proved that there. Nyxara's ending was short, almost too short for the part that She played in the book. The only thing that could have made me give this book five stars was to give the MCs a longer Epilogue. After everything they went through, the time they waited, it just seemed unfair to only have them together, in peace for two pages. ["

Okay…. BUT EXCUSE ME?!

"Oh. My. Heart. This finale didn’t just close the trilogy— it shattered me and rebuilt me in the span of a few chapters. I thought I was ready for the chaos, but this wasn’t chaos. This was a storm of emotions that left me gasping, crying, and clapping like an unhinged fan at 2 a.m. That long-awaited twist we’ve all been waiting for? It landed like lightning, and I’m still buzzing from the aftershock. The ending was viciously perfect. The epilogue? A tease. I’m screaming for a spinoff and refusing to move on. The LGBTQIAP+ representation was stunningly real and hit all the right emotional notes. This series is pure magic tangled with heartbreak, and if you need a sign to dive in— this is your flashing neon billboard. ["

What a great ending

"I can't decide if the ending was beautiful or tragic, but what a ride to get there! The language is beautiful and poetic, the characters and their developments are well thought out and completely realistic, and the world and it's magic is really inventive. I enjoyed the series a lot. It had great romance and a little bit of spice, and I will definitely try to read more from this author. ["
