"Rated 4.5 NO NO NO Absolutely not!!! This Book cannot end like it did. Talk about rip your heart out AND leave you on a cliffhanger!!! But regardless of the fact that my heart has been destroyed this a really good read -lots of really good tropes in here. Enemies to lovers, an arranged marriage. A contest trope. Grumpy and sunshine. A sweet little cat. There are no down points empty spaces in this book meaning there is always something happening, always drawing you into the story from the very beginning. And the best part- lots of tension and yearning. And there is spice! As I mentioned before everything seems to be pulling together to a wonderful conclusion until the massive plot twist at the end with a mind blowing cliffhanger that just rips your heart out. "I’ll start by saying that I absolutely loved the author’s Shadows of the Tenebris Court series, including the novellas, and I also really enjoyed the Beneath Black Sails series. So it honestly broke my heart to find King of Ravens felt so different in terms of writing style, world building, and character development compared to her previous work. The writing style, unfortunately, didn’t work for me this time. I found it frustrating to read, and the pacing felt uneven throughout—moving slowly for much of the story and then feeling rushed in the final chapters. Major developments seemed to happen all at once, which made the ending feel compressed rather than satisfying. I also guessed the major reveal within the first few chapters, which took away some of the suspense. The final cliffhanger left me more confused than intrigued, and it didn’t entirely make sense within the context of the story. That said, I know the series will likely lead to a satisfying HEA eventually, and I’m hoping the next installment feels more fleshed out and less rushed. I’m still willing to continue the series because of how much I’ve loved this author’s previous work, but this one didn’t quite live up to those expectations for me. ["

"I wasn’t really sure what to think about this book. The FMC is a very sick adult that finds out that she had been bargained to the Morgaine by her father to save his life. When the morgaine‘s son comes for her they’re whole relationship is pretty much I hate relationship. As the book goes on, Stockholm syndrome sets in and the FMC finds that she actually is starting to have feelings for her kidnapper. This book had a pretty significant cliffhanger, which I didn’t appreciate. I’m not sure if I’m going to read the next book or not. ["

It’s amazing and you all need to read it. The marriage of convenience and the world building are 👌🏻 I think it is fascinating that Annon is able to go between the Underworld and labyrinth each day an just pick up where she left off. The relationship with Drystann is both slow burn and immediate tension. Great enemies to lovers. I really like Astrid and Amin, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE The Collector!
