About this book

In a world where the time of your birth seals your fate forever, the lines between day and night are absolute. Asha Calloway, born into daylight, is destined to receive her powers from the Sun Gods on her eighteenth birthday. Her future is bright, but a secret darkness plagues her. Raised to fear the night and those who walk within it, Asha has always abided by the strict curfew that separates her people from the cursed Moonkind. The stories of their merciless powers and cruel Moon Gods are enough to keep her up at night. But a week into her studies at an elite Sun academy, Asha's restless nights take a dangerous turn. A sleepwalking episode leads her past the boundaries of her world and directly into the path of Ryder Stormwood, a lethal and magnetic Moonkind. He is everything she has been taught to fear... so why is she so drawn to him? In a realm so intent on keeping light and dark separate, can love survive in the space between?

An under-hyped incredible story

"I could not put this book down!!! This story is incredible, well written, and the twists continue to not only unravel more depth to the characters and story, but also make you continue to grow the bond with each character. I absolutely love how the romance unfolded because it wasn’t the sole being of the book, it was something that complimented the storyline rather than became the storyline. I cannot wait to continue with the series! ["

A unique magical world

"This book explored societal divide in clear terms, those born in the day have light powers from the gods of the sun, and those born at night have shadow powers of the moon. By making the divide in society so clearly delineated, it was a good way to show how these divides create a false narrative that the proverbial "other" is scary or lesser than, and show why those divides and impressions are false. A good first book, but it felt like there was always something happening all the time and so there was never time for me as the reader, let alone our FMC, to settle into the world. It built a lot in a short span and just kept that fast pace without the ebbs and flows I like to see in a book. That said, if you want constant action, this may be your jam. Look forward to seeing more development of our leads and some lurking enemies. ["
