Runebreaker: A Fantasy Romance
Mila Finch
by MJ CASTLETON
In a world governed by the rigid divide between day and night, Asha Calloway is a daughter of the Sun, raised to anticipate her eighteenth birthday and the divine powers it promises. She adheres to every rule of her elite academy, fearing the Moonkind—the cursed beings who dwell in the shadows—as monsters of legend. However, Asha harbors a secret: a burgeoning darkness that defies her sunny destiny.
When a sleepwalking episode forces her across the forbidden boundary of her world, she encounters Ryder Stormwood. A lethal, magnetic Moonkind, Ryder represents everything Asha has been conditioned to despise. Yet, the undeniable pull between them shatters her understanding of the binary reality she was born into.
As Asha is drawn deeper into a dangerous mystery, she must navigate the treacherous space between light and dark, where her safety is threatened by both her own people's rigid dogma and the forbidden allure of the one she should fear most. In a realm where fate is sealed by the time of birth, Asha and Ryder must decide if their connection is a curse or the catalyst to change their world forever.
MonicaAn under-hyped incredible story
"I could not put this book down!!! This story is incredible, well written, and the twists continue to not only unravel more depth to the characters and story, but also make you continue to grow the bond with each character. I absolutely love how the romance unfolded because it wasn’t the sole being of the book, it was something that complimented the storyline rather than became the storyline. I cannot wait to continue with the series! ["

K. CostelloA unique magical world
"This book explored societal divide in clear terms, those born in the day have light powers from the gods of the sun, and those born at night have shadow powers of the moon. By making the divide in society so clearly delineated, it was a good way to show how these divides create a false narrative that the proverbial "other" is scary or lesser than, and show why those divides and impressions are false. A good first book, but it felt like there was always something happening all the time and so there was never time for me as the reader, let alone our FMC, to settle into the world. It built a lot in a short span and just kept that fast pace without the ebbs and flows I like to see in a book. That said, if you want constant action, this may be your jam. Look forward to seeing more development of our leads and some lurking enemies. ["

Kindle CustomerI loved it so much💗
"In Between Darkness hit me with the same rush I got from Powerless and Fourth Wing 😭💖 The yearning, the obsession, the heartbreak… and that thrilling, heart-in-your-throat energy like Shadowhunters, with just a touch of Harry Potter magic in the world-building ✨ Asha & Ryder have already completely stolen my heart, and I literally can’t stop thinking about them 😭💗 ["

Amazon CustomerIt’s… ok
"Very amateur writing and very predictable twists ( if you’re aware of Chekhov’s gun), but in general an interesting story. ["
