Mate of a Royal (Lord of Rathe, 3)
Meagan Brandy
The King of Darkness is dead. It’s time for a new one to rise.... London Crow isn’t who I thought she was. She’s worse. My hate for her knows no bounds. My need for her has no end. But it’s my inability to have her that might just end us all, as the fates refuse to be ignored. Now, there’s a darkness sweeping the streets of Rathe, threatening to destroy the Kingdom we know and love, and it’s all because of her. The mate I can’t have. The bond I can’t let go. There is only one way to restore balance, and it begins and ends with her. The problem? I broke the girl into a thousand tiny pieces without a second thought. Earning her forgiveness won’t be easy, but that’s fine. If she won’t give it freely, I will take it. One mistake at a time.
Kathy L.This deserves every star out in existence!!
"This series is honestly one of the best! It’s not a super long read, but every second invested in the story is well worth it! London/Villaina is everything you want in a heroine. Her journey was a rough one and her pain was felt on every level for the reader, but it helped her grow to be the queen she was meant to be! Knight deserved the pain he felt, not going to lie on that. But he did earn some forgiveness when he made a very unselfish decision that changed everything! The curveball that was thrown in this book was extremely unexpected. It would have been nice to have a better explanation on the how, why, and where of it all. I can say that the story was so good and distracting enough I had almost forgot about it until now that I’m writing the review. Still, these two authors came together and made a masterpiece! Such a great story! I loved every bit of it! ["

Krystal (@celestialbookdragon)The perfect ending for London & Knight! 🤍
"*4.5 Stars* Ok, I was a little nervous going in for one because I knew after finishing Fate of a Royal that this would be the book that determined if I was going to stick with the series or not! My biggest issue thus far has been the lack of world building but I think it might just be because neither of the authors have a ton of experience writing in the fantasy genre. However, it seems like I got used to their writing a bit more with this book. We did get little tidbits of information sporadically throughout that were enough to satisfy me but I don’t think regular fantasy readers would feel the same way! 🤣 One thing that took me by surprise was how emotional I got while reading! There were moments where I was swooning so hard I wanted to cry and others that absolutely broke me with emotional sucker punches straight to my heart. I never thought that Knight would be capable of bringing me to tears with his heartfelt declarations and sacrifices for London and her happiness but here we are! 🥹 Don’t get me wrong, from the beginning Knight and London had a lot of stuff to work through and 99% of the time it wasn’t pretty but the journey to their HEA was so worth it! Their banter, tension, and overall obsession with each other were always at the forefront of their interactions and I could not get enough of them! As I was hoping for and also anticipated, there were lots of twists and turns, some that I had gleefully predicted and others that completely took me by surprise! I also really liked how they balanced the story progression with the world expansion in the second half of the book, and the introduction of Haide? Talk about ICONIC! She definitely stole the show in the best way whenever she popped up and I hope that we get lots more of her and her friendship with London! I absolutely loved watching them egg each other on when it came to raising all of the chaos! 😈🙌🏻 And that teaser we got at the end of the book about the next brother’s duet? NOTHING BUT HYPE! I am already so looking forward to his story with his future mate but lemme just say, if there isn’t tons of primal play, imma be so disappointed! 😭 Overall, while the overall world building and magic system could still use some development, if Amo and Meagan are able to keep the same energy that they had for London and Knight’s duet for the rest of the books this is going to be a great series!
