About this book

Being a defective marks me in the eyes of the Solis Fae. Wingless. Magicless. Weak. To my kind, I’m nothing—not when strength is needed to survive the perpetual snow and ice that shrouds our northern continent in endless winter. But I’ve persevered, living a meaningful yet simple life with my sister...until the hated Crown Prince of the Winter Court thunders into our village. Prince Norivun’s massive black wings and potent magic cloud my senses and steal my breath. He’s beautiful yet brutal, so when he whisks me away and locks me in his castle I’m certain my death is tomorrow’s promise. Yet my end doesn’t come, not when the prince looks at me with hunger in his gaze while revealing the true reason for my abduction. Now I’m faced with an impossible choice—either join forces with the hated prince who’s robbed me of everything I love or watch our kingdom start a devastating war. Court of Winter is book one in a four-book enemies-to-lovers fae fantasy romance that takes place in Krista Street’s Supernatural World. This series contains steamy romance, a strong female fae who refuses to bow, a morally gray prince whose brutality knows no bounds, and a deadly tangle of royal strife and intrigue. A must read for anyone who loves romantasy!!

"5 stars! Infinity stars! I loved this book, just ate it up. I'm going to start the second book of this completed series, Court of Frost, right away. Court of Winter introduces us to the world and the unique magic system used by the the fae, magical winged creatures with differing abilities and a cast system partly based on the strength of said abilities. This book sets to groundwork of the story with world building that never feels heavy or over explained, and introduces us to the magic system piece by piece in a sensical way that leaves you flipping page after page. This book is a romantasy, but leans heavily into the fantasy and is very lite on spice, which makes sense for this slow burn, true enemies to not-quite-lovers part of the saga. The FMC is strong and not afraid to stand up for herself, though not everyone sees her strength. The MMC is brooding and enigmatic, a morally Grey character haunted by things he's done or been made to do. This is a single POV story from the FMC, so the MMC's thought process and opinions are a mystery to us, the readers, the same way they are a mystery to the FMC. This is a true enemies to lovers story- its definitely not a "he pulled my hair and teased me as a child but when we met as adults it was love at first sight " type of enemies to lovers. The FMC begins with hatred in her heart for the MMC and has every reason for that feeling. The FMC is considered a defective fan with no magical abilities and no wings and the MMC is the Death Master of the realm.. but not everything is as it seems.. When an outside threat arises that is bigger than their own stories, can they put aside the past and find a way to work together? In Court of Winter you will find: 📚 Slow burn 📚Enemy to lovers 📚 Who did this to you 📚unique magic system 📚 light spice 📚 world building 📚 royal Court 📚 political intrique 📚 family strife 📚 single POV- thru the FMC 📚completed series 📚cliffhanger This is a must read for any fantasy lover and a great book for for anyone dipping their toes in to fantasy or romantasy, or those getting out of a reading slump. A quick read that keeps you reading "just one more chapter" all the way through. Do your self a favor and read this book! ["

Simple writing, but engaging characters

"I really enjoyed this story! The characters were compelling and interesting; the magic is pretty neat; and i was immediately engaged from the first chapter, again due to the characters and their struggles. The writing is more simplistic but i still thought the book was thoroughly engaging and am looking forward to reading book two. ["
