Hooking Tink: A Spicy Captain Hook Retelling (The Lost Girls)
Holly Roberds
Ever been stuck between an alpha and a hard place? In a world where mages, faes, and humans coexist, I, Goldie, am taking a stand – swearing off the male species entirely. Ironically, all of them start throwing themselves at me with almost supernatural fervor the minute I make my vow. All except for one man, that is... When I move into a crumbling Victorian mansion, I didn't know my unexpected inheritance would come with a neighbor who is a rugged alpha bear shifter with an alpha complex. He also comes with not one, but two baggage-laden brothers and a knack for turning my blood into molten lava. Oh, and did I mention the weird habit of finding myself in one of their beds each morning? My grumpy neighbor does *not* appreciate my friendly nature, and now we are locked in a heated feud that may bring down the whole house. As darker threats close in from both our worlds, we'll need to bury the porridge to navigate the fine line between hate, love, and survival. This spicy m/f grumpy x sunshine fairytale retelling will have you listening late into the night.

"After seeing a reel about this story, I can't deny my curiosity. There have been so many alternate tales of The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast, ect. But one of mischievous Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I just couldn't pass it up! There was certainly some elements of the tale I read as a girl, but they twisted into things I didn't expect. Giving me a different view on how a story made for children could turn into a wonderfully satisfying adventure for an adult, was icing on the cake. There was so many things I loved about this book. 1) Ted and Goldie's banter was funny, adorable, and down right heated. Seeing how these two strangers, who have a habit of trying to please others in different intensities, learn boundries and fall for eachother 🥰 2) Snow, Red, Rep, & Cinder weren't the main focus in the story, but they were amazing friends. I hope there will be a story for each of them as well (Red has hers and Cinder's is on the way). I am happy that they are involved enough in the story , which leaves me yearning for more of these unique versions of my childhood. 3) Seeing Goldie come to terms that she was stronger than her trauma that she had since she was 12. To watch her take the steps she needed to heal and accept herself fully as the amazing girl she was 👏 The only thing I didn't like was some grammar dilemmas. It was very few and far in between, but they were at some important moments, and it threw me off, trying to decipher what motion was taking place. Oh, how I look forward to getting my hands on more of Holly Roberds books! ["
