"I love love love this book. Actually I love the entire Hidden Legacy series. They have several series and of course, I read them all, but Hidden Legacy is my absolute favorite. It's interesting and humorous and romantic and just typical Ilona Andrews. There are only three authors that I purchase everything they write and Ilona Andrews is the top one. They also have a blog that I am subscribed to - the only one I am willing to get every day and Its the first thing I read because sometimes it has stories that they're writing. They make it a serial of something they're working on and you get a little bit of the story every week or they will post deleted scenes or stories that won't be a book and you can only get to read them on the blog. Try one and then, of course, you'll want to read them all - actually want is not really the right word - more like absolutely have to. I've purchased every book they've ever written including anthologies (the stories are small, but mighty and always related to one of their series). Here's to Ilona Andrews - the best writing team of all! Have fun. ["

"Beast Business is a wonderful novella set in the Hidden Legacy universe. With magic, intrigue, and plenty of action, Ilona Andrews creates an exciting story featuring characters readers have craved more time with. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Diana Harrison of House Harrison hires illusion prime Augustine Montgomery and his investigative firm to find a missing cub. It not just any tiger cub, but a unique arcane being. It’s been stolen for sinister reasons, and Diana is working against the clock to rescue Kitty. Augustine’s usual MO is not to get involved, but he can’t seem to say no to Diana. I absolutely loved this story! While it’s short, it’s well constructed and feels like a complete mystery, along with plenty of character development. That said, this novella is written with Hidden Legacy fans in mind; it’s not a standalone and not a place for the uninitiated to be introduced to this complex world. And, afterwards, there is a companion short story from Arabella Baylor’s POV that’s perfection. Beast Business is the Augustine and Diana story readers have been waiting for. I adore the way this pair works together, while each lets down their carefully constructed shields a bit at a time. If you are a fan of Ilona Andrews’ Hidden Legacy series, this novella is a must read. ["

"A quick adventure for side-characters from the Hidden Legacy urban fantasy world is a most-welcome sight. In this case, Augustine, an Illusion Prime and head of his house is hired by Diana Harrison, an animal Prime and head of her house to locate a Tigerex kitten before it dies from being too long away from its mother. Beast Business takes place after the major events in the series previous six books and involves two characters previously introduced though not together. Augustine has always been a mysterious figure and Diana an unknown so as they worked together to track down the cub, they reveal things about their magic and eventually themselves while an arc of electrical attraction zooms between them crackling and tugging on them in a way that confuses Augustine, but has Diana looking knowing. In this world, some humans have magic in their genes- some have a lot. This has made the social and power status structures much different in the Hidden Legacy world. Augustine and Diana are near the top, but in this hunt, it is revealed how and why. They follow the trail to the real culprit and in true Ilona Andrews’ fashion the tension is off the charts and the situation is dire before all is said and done. Beast Business ends leaving the door wide open for more from Augustine and Diana.
