Amber V. Nicole
by Stephanie Hudson
Keira seeks a fresh start in a cold, unfamiliar town, desperate to outrun a past that haunts her every step. When she secures a job at Afterlife, the town’s most exclusive and enigmatic gothic nightclub, she believes her luck has finally turned. However, the club holds secrets far more dangerous than the typical nightlife scene, and its owner, the impossibly wealthy and forbidding Dominic Draven, is the epicenter of the mystery.
From the moment Draven sets his sights on Keira, their lives become dangerously intertwined. As she is pulled into his dark, supernatural orbit, the boundary between reality and nightmare begins to blur. Draven is a man of shadows and immense power, and his obsession with Keira is as intoxicating as it is terrifying.
Caught between a burgeoning, obsessive attraction and the realization that she has stumbled into a world governed by ancient, lethal rules, Keira faces a harrowing choice: surrender to the seductive pull of the unknown or flee before the madness of Afterlife consumes her entirely. In this tense, high-stakes romance, Keira must navigate a landscape of hidden dangers where the price of truth might just be her soul.
BookNookEntropyBest and most original Paranormal/Romance/Fantasy I have read lately. 2nd time reading it💜💜💜
"Best and most original Paranormal/Romance/Fantasy I have read lately. I read it a couple of years ago and still loving Stephanie Hudson's Draven & Keira's love story. All her books are full of action, adventures, and romance. The story introduces us to Keira, a shy and reserved girl seeking refuge from her troubled past. But the town is anything but ordinary, especially with the presence of the Gothic nightclub, Afterlife. **Keira: Our protagonist is curious and vulnerable. Her curiosity and attraction to Draven lead her to uncover secrets that are both thrilling and terrifying. She finds herself irresistibly drawn not only to the Gothic club but also to the enigmatic Dominic Draven. **Dominic Draven, the King of Kings: The brooding owner of Afterlife, Draven is a powerful supernatural being with an aura of mystery and seduction and his intense and authoritative presence that commands attention. **Vincent: Draven's loyal brother, is fierce and protective. His sense of duty and loyalty makes him a formidable character within the supernatural realm of Afterlife. **Sofia, Draven's Sister: Sofia is another key figure in the story. Her presence adds depth to Draven's character and the dynamics within the supernatural world. She is strong, enigmatic, and plays a vital role in the unfolding events. **Lucius, the Vampire King: Cunning and manipulative, Lucius serves as an antagonist with motives shrouded in mystery. His complex relationship with Draven and Keira adds 🥵😈🔥tension and suspense to the narrative. **The Setting: Evergreen Falls is a small town that provides a stark contrast to the opulent and Gothic nightclub, Afterlife. The juxtaposition of the serene town and the dark, seductive world of Afterlife creates a captivating atmosphere. - **Afterlife Nightclub: The heart of the story, Afterlife is an opulent Gothic establishment that serves as a hub for supernatural beings. Ruled by Dominic Draven. The author blends elements of dark fantasy and paranormal romance, creating a suspenseful and addictive read. The story is filled with dark mysteries and seductive twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make it impossible to put the book(s) down. 'One more page,' I said every night, then something happens that kept me intrigued. As Keira settles into Evergreen Falls, her family and the new friends she meets play significant roles in her life. Their support and involvement add depth to her journey and the unfolding events. We will learn more about them as the series progresses. This is a spellbinding tale that will captivate you as a fan of dark fantasy and paranormal romance. The rich character development, intriguing plot, and atmospheric setting make it a must-read. I'll be writing reviews on the subsequent books in the series and related series that expand on the main story of "Afterlife". Stephanie Hudson has crafted a universe where characters search for and find their chosen ones, and I'll be exploring these developments in my reviews. If you're going to start reading her books, this one is where all began, and you'll be falling in love as well with all the characters within it. 💜❤️🧡💚🖤😈🪽🗝🥵🔥🌶 ["

Amazon Customera great story line but a slow start
"Overall, I really enjoyed this book. However, there were two things that prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars. First, Hudson had a few grammatical errors throughout the novel that were off-putting. For example, she would write things like “He was sat in the chair” to mean “he sat in the chair.” The “was” threw me many times. She used this extra past tense verb a lot. I wonder if this isn’t a dialect particular to where she grew up? Maybe where she is from this is a normal part of the speech there. For that reason, it’s worth mentioning (in case there are any grammar police reading this), but certainly not enough to diminish this really delightful story with character development. I will also say my second observation is that I felt the book was a little slow. I know she’s doing some world-building here, so I did try to be patient, but there were some scenes that were a bit too drawn out, and I had trouble with the overall pacing of the book. That said, I can’t wait to dig into book two. I’m hoping the editing has been tweaked more and we’ll see some really good story lines develop going forward. ["

R. JonkerA Stunning Journey
"Afterlife by Stephanie Hudson isn’t just a serie—it’s an experience. From the very first page, I was completely hooked and transported into a world that is dark, romantic, dangerous, and utterly addictive. The way stephanie weaves emotion, mystery, humor, and fantasy together is nothing short of brilliant. The chemistry between the characters is electric, and the world-building is rich and vivid. Every twist, every reveal, every moment of heartbreak or hope had me unable to put the book down—and now I can’t stop re-reading it! And it’s not just Afterlife—Stephanie Hudson’s entire universe of stories is captivating. She’s one of those rare authors who makes you feel everything and leaves you thinking about her characters long after you’ve closed the book. If you’re looking for a series that will consume you, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough. Stephanie Hudson is a truly amazing writer, and I’m beyond grateful for the worlds she creates. ["
