"Best and most original Paranormal/Romance/Fantasy I have read lately. I read it a couple of years ago and still loving Stephanie Hudson's Draven & Keira's love story. All her books are full of action, adventures, and romance. The story introduces us to Keira, a shy and reserved girl seeking refuge from her troubled past. But the town is anything but ordinary, especially with the presence of the Gothic nightclub, Afterlife. **Keira: Our protagonist is curious and vulnerable. a great story line but a slow start

"Overall, I really enjoyed this book. However, there were two things that prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars. First, Hudson had a few grammatical errors throughout the novel that were off-putting. For example, she would write things like “He was sat in the chair” to mean “he sat in the chair.” The “was” threw me many times. She used this extra past tense verb a lot. I wonder if this isn’t a dialect particular to where she grew up? Maybe where she is from this is a normal part of the speech there. For that reason, it’s worth mentioning (in case there are any grammar police reading this), but certainly not enough to diminish this really delightful story with character development. I will also say my second observation is that I felt the book was a little slow. I know she’s doing some world-building here, so I did try to be patient, but there were some scenes that were a bit too drawn out, and I had trouble with the overall pacing of the book. That said, I can’t wait to dig into book two. I’m hoping the editing has been tweaked more and we’ll see some really good story lines develop going forward. ["

"The overall ark of this book and subsequent books is great. These books have the potential to become top sellers on Amazon. The storyline is terrific. The world-building is fine and the characters are well-rounded. Unfortunately, there are, however, many, many, grammatical errors that prevented me from completely enjoying the book. The mistakes gave rise to the downright annoying. That is a true shame. One of the worst and most aggravating is the overabundant use of the word "as". The word is used needlessly and extensively. Another is the very, very long sentences. One I found was thirty-eight words long. Yeah, that isn't a sentence but a whole paragraph. Also, her use of tenses is what one would see on a second-grader's paper. Another annoying mistake is the improper use of pronouns. "I" is used when " me" is the right pronoun. Like the sentence " Her and I's trip to". Is one example. " The book is littered with such errors. To say that the book desperately needed an editor is an understatement. I understand that professional editing is expensive, especially for self-published books. Perhaps however a couple of good skilled beta readers with an adequate command of the English language would have been beneficial. I hope the author can revise this book and turn it into what it has the potential to be. Don't let these critiques prevent you from reading this series. If one can ignore the many editing issues there is enjoyment to be had. I tried to be fair but for me, the grammar is so bad it prevented me from enjoying this novel. ["
