Scarlett St. Clair
Told in multiple POVs, A Game of Gods is the final installment in the Hades Saga by USA Today Bestselling author Scarlett St. Clair. Hades, God of the Dead, has finally made Persephone his in every way possible. With their wedding on the horizon, the couple should be ecstatic. But Demeter is wreaking havoc on their bliss by battering the whole of New Greece with erratic and dangerous weather. At the same time, Theseus continues with his agenda against the Gods, allying with the hate-group Triad in an effort to bring down all of Olympus. Hades refuses to allow anything to stop him from securing Persephone as his bride, but he must play a deep strategic game with the Gods of Olympus to safeguard their future. And it is not entirely clear which Gods are truly on his side.
Holly HummelLove H’s POV
"I tandem read A Touch of Malice and A Game Of Gods, and that is the only way to go! It give you all you need to know and different sides of what’s happening. In this H is dealing with a lot. He’s trying to protect Persephone because gods are being attacked. He’s trying to figure out who’s doing the attacks while trying to help Dionysus find Medusa and the ophiotaurus before they fall into the wrong hands. It was awesome. We get not only H’s POV but also Dionysus and Theseus’s as well. All these added layers to the story to make for an epic read. The way this ends made me want to jump into the last book right away. This had a different ending than A Touch of Malice since Persephone and H are in different places as the story ends. I can’t wait for the final book. 🌶️Spice wise: the chapters that contained spice were 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, 17, 21, 24, 25, 28, 31, 36, 38, 39, and 41. There were quite a bit of spicy scenes. Some were shorter others less explicit. The story line was excellent though so I would say the spice isn’t the main focus of this story. There was a lot of strong plot in here. ["

abbieGood info, but if you’re easily triggered avoid atleast Theseus chapters cause oh boy
"Not my favorite in the series, but still a solid 4 stars for how much we get from Hades’ POV. He’s dealing with so much—doubt, love, guilt, pressure—and it really shows how heavy his role is. It gave a lot of insight and made me see earlier events differently. Dionysus was such a standout. He starts off as his usual chaotic self, but watching him open up and grow (especially with that budding relationship 👀) was honestly one of my favorite parts. Now Theseus? Absolutely awful to be in his head. So gross. Same with Poseidon—every scene he’s in just felt icky. Oh, and the Zeus castration reveal??? Wild. Did not see that one coming. Loved the little nods to Greek epics too—super fun to catch if you’re into mythology. Overall, it’s darker and slower, but still gave a lot of good layers to the story. Worth it for Hades alone. ["
