The Seven Rings: The Lost Bride Trilogy, Book 3
Nora Roberts
The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Year One and Of Blood and Bone concludes her stunning new trilogy praised as “A match for end-of-the-world classics like Stephen King’s The Stand.” After the sickness known as the Doom destroyed civilization, magick has become commonplace, and Fallon Swift has spent her young years learning its ways. Fallon cannot live in peace until she frees those who have been preyed upon by the government or the fanatical Purity Warriors, endlessly hunted or locked up in laboratories, brutalized for years on end. She is determined to save even those who have been complicit with this evil out of fear or weakness - if, indeed, they can be saved. Strengthened by the bond she shares with her fellow warrior, Duncan, Fallon has already succeeded in rescuing countless shifters and elves and ordinary humans. Now she must help them heal - and rediscover the light and faith within themselves. For although from the time of her birth, she has been The One, she is still only one. And as she faces down an old nemesis, sets her sights on the enemy’s stronghold, and pursues her destiny - to finally restore the mystical shield that once protected them all - she will need an army behind her....
Valerie MattesonA Magical Read!
"I loved this entire series. Even as part of it was a bit like Stephen King's novel "The Stand", Nora Roberts just took the whole premise to another level that I really enjoyed. The character development and relationships between then, the escapes in the first two volumes and attacks/battles in the last two volumes were splendid. I really felt Ms. Roberts emphasis on good vs. evil without making the "good" characters perfect. The growth of adults and kids (now adults but born at start of the Doom) was really well done. I especially enjoyed the conclusion as it was foreshadowed a bit but still some surprises and completely satisfying. Another tremendous trilogy that I know I will re-read many times! ["

"Nora Roberts never disappoints me. I love the trilogy books as each one is an opportunity to visit old friends. I usually like to reread the associated books but didn’t this time and it really isn’t necessary as there are enough reminders throughout the book without revisiting entire passages. I would love to see this trilogy live on to be able to follow Fallon and Duncan further. However, I fall in love with all of her characters and am certain the next ones will be just as entertaining. The wait was well worth the read!! I’ve also found that I really don’t mind reading any of the trilogies out of order... they are that well written. Love, love, loved it! Storytelling is an art and Nora an artist. ["
