Serin is a young adult who has a mediocre life and dreams of more. She pours her heart out into her letter and miraculously is chosen. She arrives at the magical destination and is met with unusual creatures and scenarios which challenge everything she believes about her life culminating in the ultimate choice. I keep trying to read these Asian cozy stories about life and dreams and destiny. I always love the imagined world and the premise more than the execution. I was beginning to think that cozies just weren’t for me. But this one had enough of a plot and danger to scratch the itch I’ve been trying to reach.
