AimeeAbsolutely INCREDIBLE!
"This sequel to The Phoenix King was everything I hoped for and more. It builds beautifully on the foundation of the first book, raising the stakes in every possible way. The world of The Ravence Trilogy continues to captivate me with its vivid atmosphere, rich mythology, and the constant balance between duty, love, and power. Elena shines even brighter in this book. She is fierce, determined, and unafraid to embrace the weight of her crown. Watching her grow into her role as queen was incredible. Her decisions are not easy, but her strength and conviction make her such a compelling character to follow. The political scheming, alliances, and betrayals throughout kept me fully invested from start to finish. The relationship between Elena and Samson is one of the most complex and engaging parts of the story. Their connection is rooted in distrust and conflicting loyalties, yet their bond deepens in ways that feel both believable and deeply emotional. The dual POVs give wonderful insight into their minds, revealing the vulnerability and longing they often try to hide from one another. Their banter, tension, and gradual trust make every scene between them incredibly dynamic. The side characters also deserve recognition. Each one feels purposeful, layered, and essential to the story’s momentum. I especially loved how their relationships with Elena and Samson evolve alongside the broader political drama, adding so much heart to the narrative. The pacing of the final act was exceptional. I found myself holding my breath through the last several chapters, completely absorbed in the chaos and heartbreak. There is a particular twist near the end that left me stunned and emotional. I truly did not expect to cry over a character the way I did, but Aparna Verma’s writing made it impossible not to. The Burning Queen is a masterful continuation of this series. It delivers action, heartbreak, romance, and so much emotional depth. I am already counting down the days until the next book releases because I need to know what happens next. Five shining stars from me. ["
