About this book

Aren Bellamore, a cynical barmaid with zero interest in fairy tales, spends her days running the Raven’s Beak tavern and dodging unwanted suitors. Her life of hard-won independence is upended when a brush with death forces her into a bargain with Prince Dietan, a man burdened by the lethal Rings of Fate. These ancient, cursed weapons are slowly draining his life, and with enemies closing in, he needs a decoy to shield his secrets during a desperate quest to break his hex.

Dietan requires a bride to navigate the treacherous political landscape, and Aren craves the freedom that only his influence can provide. Their arrangement is purely transactional: a sham engagement built on secrets and survival. However, as they navigate a landscape teeming with monstrous Kilandrar and deadly court schemes, the sharp banter and forced proximity begin to spark a genuine, undeniable attraction.

In a world where destiny is as fickle as magic, the line between their elaborate deception and a true connection starts to vanish. As the curse tightens its grip, Aren and Dietan must decide if they are willing to risk their hearts for a future that neither expected, nor could have ever imagined.

Good fantasy book with original plot but not mind blowing

"Overall, this was a very good book with an original fantasy concept centered around the power of the rings. The romance between the two main characters was sweet and developed as a satisfying slow burn. While I enjoyed the story, the pacing felt a bit slow at times, and some scenes came across as filler rather than contributing meaningfully to the overall plot. Ultimately, the reason I’m giving this four stars instead of five is that, while it was an enjoyable read, it didn’t completely wow me. It’s a solid fantasy novel, but not one I see myself revisiting later for nostalgia or lingering impact. ["

audio: 2 book: 5

"To explain my rating, the audible version of this book gives AI. I want to know how it was produced so I can avoid it in the future. The male narrator's voice for females is literally the TikTok filter. That's officially an ick. Now that I got the complaints out of the way, I absolutely adore this book. The banter... chef's kiss! The miscommunication trope is absolutely a turn off for me, but I think this book softened it enough that I was able to overlook it. But overall this was a very cute story, one I could see being a mid budget film. Well written, good and interesting plot, terrible audiobook. ["

Was a good book

"I would say Rings of Fate was good. I did enjoy the story and the banter. There were MANY grammatical errors that editing missed and to be quite frank I didnt like how Aren was supposedly "outspoken, hard, and crude" yet she never once really spoke her mind. I did not feel like she had much growth as a character. So while it was a good book that I will recommend to some I didnt find it overly great ["

Four Stars!

"Rings of Fate is a magical romantic fantasy that follows a clever barmaid and a cursed prince who pretend to be engaged to navigate through dangerous magic and complicated politics. Right from the first chapter, I was captivated by our main character, Aren. She’s incredibly loyal and does everything she can to protect her loved ones. It's super hard it to fall in love with her. The adventure and story were a blast, but the tension? The banter? That's what truly sold me on the book! I enjoyed every moment with Aren and Dietan! Their chemistry is off the charts! This book is such a delightful read! If you enjoy slow-burn romance with witty dialogue, strong characters, and a sprinkle of magic, be sure to grab it when it comes out tomorrow! I really hope there is a book two because I have questions! ["
