FLMJSwhat a great ending
"This was a wonderful series! Elodie and Valens were a couple to root for. There could be no better book boyfriend than Valens. Strong and gentle at the same time. And Elodie was kick ass. I loved how everyone came together to defeat evil. ["

KateLove Elodie but ending felt rushed
"Elodie is by far my favorite character. She is a bad ass but this book almost made me like her less. I felt like I needed more of her back story. We know nothing about her parents or how they died. Knew she was mistreated by her adopted family but what does that mean? Locked in a cabinet under the stairs? Forced to sleep in an attic and cook and clean for everyone?? And what was up with the personal letter we heard nothing about? Was it from her parents? I just needed more. Now let’s talk about Narcissa. We got hints all series about her. Then find out she’s alive at the end of book 5. At about 90% into this book I was getting upset cause it didn’t seem like we were going to get closure on that plot point. Then all of a sudden, conveniently after battle 1 ends battle 2 starts. It felt like the author said crap we didn’t tie Narcissa back in. How it panned out I’m not angry with but definitely felt more like an afterthought. I almost gave it 3 stars but I found the resolution I needed. Happy to hear we’re getting a novella about Shay and Dirge’s time in the fae realm I just feel it’s coming a little too late. We should have gotten that right after she came back cause that random plot point pissed me off for the last 2 books. ["
