About this book

In a world shattered by an ancient hierarchy, humans are nothing more than livestock kept behind electrified fences to feed their immortal masters. For twin sisters, survival has always meant staying invisible, but as the annual testing approaches, the prospect of being claimed by a vampire royal forces them into a desperate, ill-fated escape. The plan collapses when one twin is captured by an original vampire prince.

Now, she is a prisoner in a gilded cage, forced to navigate a treacherous court of seductive, bloodthirsty aristocrats. Her captor is as cruel as he is beautiful, viewing her as a mere puppet in his games. Meanwhile, her sister finds herself entangled with the last remaining slayer—a man defined by vengeance and violence whose path leads directly to the heart of the vampire stronghold.

As the sisters find themselves positioned on opposite sides of a brewing war, they must manipulate the very monsters hunting them to survive. This is a brutal, high-stakes game where lust masks deadly intentions and betrayal is the only currency that matters. Caught between a predatory prince and a lethal slayer, the twins must decide if they are willing to burn the world down to find their freedom.

Wow!

"Excellent storyline. The world controlled by vampires after a World War 3 almost wiped out most humans. Humans were imprisoned in realms (apocalyptic prison camps). The two FMC characters are twins, separated after failed escape attempt. The rest of the book is their struggles to find each other & their father. The two MMC are assisting or hindering their attempts. The characters are believable and starting to be fleshed out. The MFCs are spunky, smart, and strong willed. Well written interaction between characters. Some humor. Very slow burn romance, enemies to lovers type. Detailed world build. Dark apocalyptic ruined West coast & a bright well taken care of by vampire east coast. I found the first 100 pages really slow paced and tedious with descriptions & mostly conversations between the characters. Once the twins escape attempted failed, the action ramped up and additional and interesting male characters added. I almost stopped reading before I got to the escape attempt. Glad I didn’t! It was quite fast paced and a page turner from that point on! Looking forward to next book! ["

Thrilling First Book

"Eternal Reign by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti is a thrilling and captivating start to the Age of Vampires series. From the very first page, the authors plunge the reader into a dark and dangerous world where humans are nothing more than livestock for vampires. The story follows Callie, a courageous protagonist who, along with her twin sister, Montana, decides to defy the annual testing that only leads to disappearance. Their attempt to escape takes an unexpected turn when Montana is captured by an original vampire, Erik, thrusting her into a life of captivity and a treacherous game of rivalry between vampire princes. The authors do an excellent job of creating a vivid and brutal fantasy world, where vampires are savage and bloodthirsty, and the vampire slayer, Magnar, who hunts them is equally ruthless. This is not your typical vampire romance with sparkling skin and tender moments. Instead, it is a gritty and intense tale filled with lust, lies, and blood. The character development in Eternal Reign is superb, particularly when it comes to the protagonist’s transformation from a helpless victim to a cunning and determined player in the dangerous game she finds herself in. The relationships between the characters are complex and intriguing, adding depth to the story and keeping the reader engaged. Peckham and Valenti’s writing style is fast-paced and addictive, making it difficult to put the book down. The action scenes are intense and well-executed, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. The authors also excel at creating a sense of tension and suspense throughout the story, leaving the reader eager to know what will happen next. One of the highlights of Eternal Reign is the unique and imaginative world-building. The authors have created a war-torn fantasy world that is both brutal and captivating. The gods play a significant role in the story, adding an element of mystery and intrigue. It is worth noting that this book is intended for mature readers due to its dark and explicit content. The authors do not shy away from depicting the brutal nature of the vampires and the violence that ensues. Overall, Eternal Reign is a fantastic start to the Age of Vampires series. With its gripping storyline, well-developed characters, and immersive world-building, it is sure to captivate fans of dark fantasy and vampire romance. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and intense read. ["

Dude Approved!!

"Just finished Eternal Reign!! Wow, what a ride!! This could be on the bigscreen!! The gandour of it all, the depth of detail, and the oh so naughty girls I love, Callie and Monty!! I can't get enough of any of it. Let me say, though that I can clearly see that males are not the intended audience of these books as they are from a pair of female leads who share quite detailed observations of their male counterparts. For me though, it was neutral enough to still be a turn on for me. Feeling how badly they really wanted to be ravaged, and their desperate attempts to deny their lusts, was really quite erotic, and I can't wait to see where their relationships go from here!! Aside from that though I also found great joy from the beautifully crafted fight sequences and as a husband, and protector in nature, I really identified well with Magnar!! He's become my spirit animal. Absolutely hope him and Callie become even closer in the sequel. Bottom line ladies, I have not read your first book that you edited to create this masterpiece and frankly I don't see the point since this clearly is better, but you both SLAYED this one. I could go on writing more amazing things about this book, like the level of thought and detail in of the realms, it just makes so much sense. How the vamps took power is all very believable. Sheer GOLD. Just like the blades wielded by Magnar! Legit someone put this on the bigscreen!! The map to start the second book shows just how deep both of you have thought this out!! Okay, enough praise!! I am off to start the 2nd one!! ["

Hmm

"There's quite a bit missing from this book. Sites, sounds, smell, emotion. It's almost as though it's there, but it's also not. I'm not sure how to explain it. Some things are detailed, but most you don't really feel in this book. The conflict is alright. The characters... could be more real, more emotionally written through the pages. The constant back and forth between Callie and Magmar or whatever the guys name is isn't written very well at all. There's no reasoning between it. One second, she's thinking rationally, and the next, it's back to her being an idiot. It's so back and forth that it's almost enough to give up on the story. I'm really not sure I'll read the next one. There are also some good things about these books, which is why I gave it 3 stars. The storyline is pretty decent. I love the idea of it, and some of the conflict is super appealing. There are a few parts in this book that will bring some tears out of you. I love the girls dad. He's a sweetheart, for sure. ["
