About this book

Deep in the heart of the Peruvian rainforest, Sarika Silva seeks to uncover the secrets of her heritage and master her latent abilities as a jaguar shifter. Instead, she stumbles into a lethal power struggle between territorial shifters and ravenous vampires. Her search for answers is interrupted by the arrival of Tomas Smolnycki, an ancient Carpathian warrior whose existence has been defined by cold duty and an unfeeling, grayscale world.

The moment Tomas hears Sarika’s voice, his monochromatic reality explodes into vibrant color. He recognizes her instantly as his destined lifemate, a discovery that ignites an intense, possessive need to protect her at any cost. For Sarika, however, Tomas represents a threat to her hard-won independence.

She resists the pull of their fated bond, determined to forge her own path despite the undeniable, electric attraction between them. As an ancient, malevolent force rises from the shadows to threaten their world, the two must decide if they can bridge the divide between hunter and shifter. Their connection may be the only weapon powerful enough to prevent total destruction, but only if they learn to trust a destiny that neither of them asked for.

Wonderful!

"Tomas was so sweet and endearing! And Sarika was amazing, thoughtful, and intelligent and they both really worked together and respected each other, always working together to find solutions. The only downside of this book was that it was far too short! I want more! I loved seeing some old characters return and having them all be in the same room! Reminded me of the old Christmas special. Such a joy to read! If you want things to get hot and heavy fast and often, this one won't be it, but the story and feel good vibes are so worth it. The love scenes were written differently to how she usually does it but I felt it matched this couple's gentler energy with each other. ["

Not Much of an Ending?

"I always enjoy the next installment of the Carpathean Series, but I was sadly disappointed when the book abruptly ended and there were 2 very long appendices that made me think I had much more book to go. The story was going great as always but left me hanging... ["
