Not what I expected

"Honestly, the book wasn’t bad. It was very different from what I expected as I didn’t really feel the Zuko/Katara vibes that were advertised. I thought that there should’ve been a little bit more connection between the MC’s and their elemental abilities, because it seemed like a pretty big plot point when I bought the book. But of course, I’m not the author. Other than that, the book seemed a bit rushed and the ending was very condensed in a way that wasn’t particularly enjoyable. And there were a couple holes in the timeline that just didn’t really make sense to me as a reader. There were quite a few typos and punctuation errors, but nothing major. Also, there is a couple explicit scenes that I wasn’t aware were in the book. I don’t know if the content wasn’t rated or if I just didn’t look close enough, but I didn’t find anything saying that there was explicit content prior to purchasing. I don’t really have a huge problem with it, as I enjoy a spicy romance as much as the next person, but I’m not a fan of explicitly sexual books. So, I was disappointed to find such content in the book and not have been aware of it beforehand. Other than all those critiques, I really did enjoy the overall plot and execution of this book and I am looking forward to potentially purchasing the second when it gets released! ["

"I really enjoyed this book! I liked the premise of the world and how it’s loosely based on ATLA in the way that there are 4 kingdoms each with a different element. The Zutara vibes were top tier and I can’t wait for the tension in the sequel! (The dedication had me sold lol). The main character is forced into an arranged marriage with a prince from the “fire kingdom” in order to strengthen relations. Enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, forced proximity!!! My favorite tropes! The pacing was a little odd and some parts felt like there were pieces missing or holes. For example, I would’ve liked more between the characters. However, considering this is the first book, I’m sure the things will get more clear. Overall, I really liked book 1 and can’t wait for book 2! ["
